We arrived in Honolulu August 22th and checked into our luxury hotel Maile Sky Court... we wish! A low budget hotel equals cheap standard and cheap guests, but we were happy anyway... We're in Hawai'i goddammit. Still, we were ecstatic when we scored an apartment only two days after our arrival. Just a 2 minute walk to Waikiki Beach and a pretty good standard made us fall in love with the place. So in love it got us screaming at the top of our lungs, first in the elevator, than in the streets of Kuhio. We couldn't wait to move in, so we hurried back to the hotel to get our stuff.
Turned out none of us learned the meaning of the saying "pack lite". Lucky for us, Pete the receptionist had a thing for blonds, and was getting off work just in time to drive us to our new neighborhood. Yiiiha!! Or so we thought... it didn't take long before our enthusiasm dropped low (like flo rida)... Petes first response to our new place was "you should get some pepperspray... and a stinger". Gee, thanks Pete!
